Science History Institute: Touch and Descriptive Tour:

These tours take place regularly. The next one is schedule for Tuesday, June 9 from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Titled: From Nature to Nylons: This is a touch-based history of textiles and it will be held again next month. These expert-led tours are really interesting and fun!  The tour has a capacity of 10 people each month. The cost is $3 per person. Please contact the Institute directly to make a plan to visit.

National Constitution Center: Touch and Descriptive Tour: 

Staff will guide visitors through a really fascinating story telling experience and interaction with the full size statues of those who added their names to the Constitution as well as those who dissented. The cost is $10 per person unless you have an Access Card in which case it is $2 per person.

 

This tour takes place from 8:45am - 10:00am on Sundays: * May 31, 2026* June 7, 2026* July 26, 2026* August 23, 2026* September 27, 2026* October 25, 2026* November 22, 2026* December 20, 2026

This is the perfect location to learn about history, touch art and objects and have a picnic! Contact the Crossing directly to arrange a visit. Unfortunately, Para Transit does not go out there so visits should be arranged with drivers either individually or in groups: We highly recommend this wonderful program!

Museum of the American RevolutionAudio Descriptive Tour

Navigation info for blind/low vision visitors is integrated with information about the exhibit and with a heads up the Museum will provide a guide and tactile objects related to the exhibits.

Winterthur's Decorative Arts: An Online Accessible and Described Exhibit:

​Philly Touch Tours recently worked with a marvelous group of graduate students enrolled in the “Disability and American Art Histories” seminar in the Department of Art History at the University of Delaware. Their task was to interpret objects from Winterthur's incredible Decorative Arts.
